Chrissie And Allison Go To Camp)

Part I - Arriving At Camp
It was already the last week in June and camp would start right on July first. Gee, these last two weeks seemed to just fly right by. I asked my mother what would happen since I wouldn’t be here for my birthday party.
"Don’t worry about that right now, dear," she replied. Then she gave me a wink.
I looked kind of puzzled when she gave me that wink, but I didn't think too much about it. It did make me wonder though. The next week went by pretty fast and we were packing our suitcases for the trip to camp. I was excited about being able to go to camp with Chrissie and do girl things with her. But, at the same time I was sad, because I wasn’t going to have my birthday party, and wear my pretty party dress. After we were packed and had our suitcases by the car, my mother came out and looked at us.
"My, my, girls, don’t you both look pretty. Stay right there for a moment and let me get my camera. I want to take a picture." Then she went into the house and came back with the camera.
"Smile, girls", she said and then snapped the picture.
We were then on our way to the Camp of the Willows. It was a long drive. Three hours and three restroom stops, it took us to get there. When we pulled into the the camp, I could see lots of girls standing around talking to each other. As we drove up, a few of them looked in our direction, and then went back to talking among themselves. Just as we parked the car and got our suitcases out of the trunk, a lady came up to us and asked us our names.
"I am Allison Kingston and this is Christine Jaeger," I said with a smile.
The lady was young, early twenties and had a slim figure with big brown eyes. She then smiled and called to an older lady, a few yards away.
"Mom, they’re here."
"I am just thrilled to have you in my group Allison. Chrissie, too. We are going to do a lot of wonderful things together, this summer. My name is Betty," she said.
Part II
Camp Begins
The older lady came over and introduced herself as Ms. Loretta. She was about late forties or early fifties and had grey hair set in a bun. Another spinster, I thought to myself. But, not really, because she had two pretty daughters. The other daughter’s name was Mary and she was in her twenties too, but with blond hair and wide blue eyes.
"Allison, Chrissie, I am Ms. Loretta. Welcome to Camp of the Willows. You must be Mrs. Kingston," she said looking at my mother and shaking her hand. "I want you all to come into my office, right now. Lunch won’t be for another two hours, yet."
We followed her to her office. She then told the assembled girls to go their cabins and get settled in. Then she said to Betty and Mary that she wanted them in the office too We set our suitcases down and sat in the chairs like the little ladies that we were.
"Allison, dear. My daughters and I know all about you, and we are going to make your stay here, at Camp of the Willows, one that you will enjoy for a lifetime, even if you never come back. It is a wonderful thing you did for Chrissie by agreeing to be her sister, and now, young lady, you are going to be like this forever. How do you like being a girl so far?"
"I like it real fine, Ms. Loretta," I said with a very impish smile.
"I see that when you sit down you place your hands under your dress. Why do you do that?"
"So the back of my dress doesn’t get wrinkled, ma’am," I replied.
"And, I see that when you are sitting down, you keep your knees together. Can you tell me why you do that, Allison, dear?"
"Because a lady always shows the proper etiquette, ma’am. Besides, then boys can’t see my" I blushed, "underwear," I answered. Then I giggled and so did everyone else.
"That will do for now. You will be undergoing feminine training as well as doing all the things here at camp that the other girls do. We have a crafts contest toward the end of camp, and the girl with the best craft, wins a free summer at camp the following summer. Does that sound like something that might interest you, dear?"
"Oh! Yes, ma’am," I said beaming with a big smile.
Ms. Loretta saw that reaction and smiled at her two daughters. She then told Betty to get us settled in as it would be lunch time soon. We went to our cabin where there were three other girls. The cabin was small but had six beds in it, a dressing table, another larger round table and a nice big rug in the middle of the floor. It had the picture of a deer on it and I was told that this was cabin 3 or Cabin Bambi. The other girls all greeted us in a friendly manner and then we heard a siren and Betty said that was what we would hear when it was meal time.
"Alright, girls, it is lunch time," said Betty and we all walked to the mess hall. Why do they call it a mess hall, I wondered.
After we had eaten a salad and had a container of milk, Chrissie and I went back to our cabin. None of the girls were there yet, or so we thought, when Chrissie said:
"Allison, this is going to be so much fun. I . . . ," she stopped short as she saw one of the other girls come out of the bathroom. "Hello, I am Chrissie Jaeger and this is my sister, Allison Kingston."
"Nice to meet you both. My name is Deidre, but my friends all call me Dee. Would you like to be my friends?"
We both nodded and we sat down and discussed a girl’s favorite topic. Boys. We talked about the one boy that Chrissie liked real well, but was too nervous to approach him. Dee said she should go right up to him and tell him she wanted to go out with him. When I said I had said something similar, Dee said that the only way to get a boy’s attention, was to give him a kiss right on the mouth. That way he would know which end was up.
"Look, Chrissie," Dee said. "You walk right up to him and plant a big wet kiss right on his mouth. If he still doesn’t get it, then he’s hopeless."
"But," replied Chrissie. "What if he doesn’t like me. What if he hits me or worse calls me a dirty name?"
Dee said it first before I could. "Chrissie, if you show him you are interested in him, and he does those things, find someone else, because a boy like that isn’t worth your time."
"Thanks, Dee. I’ll remember that."
Then we all started to talk about where we were from and how our lives compared. Dee was from New York City, and she said the only time she had any fun was here at camp. That’s because there was too much violence in New York. Just then, Betty came into cabin with the three other girls, and then she sat down and said:
"Girls, I am glad that I have the same group that I had last year. Do you remember Anita?"
The girls all nodded yes, and then looked at Betty expectantly. It was Dee who spoke up first, and then she looked at me.
"Betty, you mean that Allison is . . .," She said, but was interrupted by Betty.
"Yes, girls. Is there anyone who is going to be bashful or embarrassed by the fact that Allison is here with you?"
The girls looked at each other, then looked at me and then back at Betty. Then they all said no in unison.
I stammered, a little embarrassed. "I I thought th that you and and your mother an and sister were the only ones who w would know."
Part III
One Of The Girls
"It will be alright, Allison. Betty can’t do this by herself, and we will help you all we can. After all, we are roomies, right? Besides, dear, you are one of the girls now, and I for one think it’s cool that a boy can willingly be a girl," Dee said.
The other girls nodded and said the same thing. My being a girl was cool with them. I was to learn the different body parts of the female anatomy, and the girls would be my instructors. I would learn the finer points of being a girl. And, according to Dee, I would also learn about boys, and what to expect from them and how to handle certain situations should they arise. I would learn how to apply makeup so that I would be able to wear nice outfits. I would also learn how to do different hairstyles so that I would look exquisite, as Dee said.
After dinner was over, a girl from another cabin came over to visit.
"Anita!" Dee shrieked with surprise. "My God, girl it is good to see you. How have you been?"
"Just fine Dee, and yourself ?"
This girl was about the same height as me, and was eleven years old. Then Dee looked at Anita again, and shrieked a second time.
"Girls, come here. Anita has something she would like to show us." We all went over to where they were sitting, and Anita stood up facing everyone. A gasp went throughout the room, as one of the girls, Donna, said:
"Anita, darling, you are filling out just beautifully. It just goes to show you what a year can do." Then everyone giggled. Donna was a redhead, and had some freckles. But she looked real cute with them.
Anita's breasts were just developing, but with her figure, they looked very nice and I wondered how mine would look when I started to develop.
"Allison, this is Anita. She was in the same position you are in now, last year. I didn’t know she was even at camp this year. Betty probably told her to come over. Anita this is Allison, she is Chrissie’s sister."
"Pleased to meet you, Allison. Betty told me about you and I have some wonderful news for you. I am going to be your guide throughout all of this. You are probably wondering why everyone in this cabin knows about you, right?"
"Well, yes. I was kind of wondering. I thought I had been sold out." I said.
"Not in the least, dear," Anita said in reply. "In fact, out of the six girls in this cabin, there are only two real girls. The rest have become girls like me and like you will become. It all started with Chrissie’s mom. Every boy who Chrissie had put a dress on, has wanted to be a girl from that point on. Dee and Chrissie are the only two natural girls in this cabin."
"You mean, that Donna and the other two were once boys?" I asked, incredulously.
"That’s what I am saying, dear," replied Anita. "Let me go on. These girls are a close knit group. What goes on in this cabin, stays in this cabin. I was fortunate. I was a friend to a girl whose parents were friends of Chrissie’s mother. When the girl’s mother asked where she could send me to camp, Joan, Chrissie’s mother, mentioned this camp, and she would make all the arrangements. I came here and found out I was not the only boy to be sent to this camp. We are your friends now, Allison. I know you will have a good time here. So, welcome to sisterhood, Allison. I know we are going to so much fun."
With that I settled into the routine of being a happy camper. For the most part, I had forgotten all about my new party dress and my upcoming birthday in three weeks. In just three weeks time, I will be nine years old. But, for right now, it was time to go swimming. We all got into the lake and hung around the beach, most of the girls got tans, I got a sunburn. I had to put a lot of lotion on it to keep it from itching and peeling. A week later, it turned into a nice tan and I wasn’t afraid to lay on the beach after that. None of the other girls from the other cabins, even suspected that I was a boy. I had been accepted as a girl, and I was happy.
The girls then told me they wanted to see what I had learned from Chrissie over the last two years, being a girl. They had me sit, walk, talk, and do everything a girl would do naturally. When they found out I could do all the things a girl could do without effort, they remarked on how I was a natural girl and would make a very nice woman when my time came for my final transition. I saw a couple of girls from another cabin and I went over to talk to them and introduce myself, and we had a nice talk for a few minutes, then they left to go do some camp things.
Anita was watching me as I walked and talked with the two girls but she didn’t say anything. When I walked back over to her she said:
"Allison, I don’t think I am going to have a job with you for very long. None of those girls ever suspected that you were anything but a girl to them. Chrissie has taught you well."
Three Weeks Later
For the next few weeks, we concentrated on our crafts that we were supposed to be doing. I was supposed to do some needlework on a pre-printed pattern. Something simple, for my beginner’s hands. Then I was asked by Betty to report to the main office, as Ms. Loretta wanted to see me. I went to the office and knocked on the door.
"Come in, Allison, dear."
"Did you want to see me, ma’am?" I had asked.
"Yes, dear. Your mother has brought your party dress for your birthday party. I think it’s time you should be getting ready, don’t you?"
"Y yes, yes ma’am. Thank you, ma’am," I said running out of the office with my dress and things. Then I ran back in and gave Ms. Loretta the biggest hug I could manage. She seemed very surprised and said, "Why, you, you’re welcome," she managed to stammer out as I ran all the way back to the cabin and Chrissie saw me and asked what was the matter.
"Mother just brought me my new party dress, and I am to have my ninth birthday party here. Mother said she would invite all girls, and she did. She invited the whole camp."
Chrissie squealed with delight and the other girls who were outside came running in and wanted to know what was going on. When I told everyone about the party and showed them my new party dress, they, too, squealed with delight.
Part IV
The Party
There was magic in the air and the girls all started taking my clothes off and pampering me and one of them even shoved me in the shower saying to wash my hair very thoroughly because she was going to set my hair. When I was done in the shower, Donna came over and told me to get my slip and panties on and she would do my hair up right. After my hair was done, Dee put just a touch of makeup on. Dee and Donna helped with the dress. When I was done being dressed, I looked in the mirror. I let out a little gasp as I saw for the first time a young lady, not a girl, standing there looking back at me.
Everybody gathered down at the beach and we all had on our best dresses for the party. My mother was there talking with Ms. Loretta, Betty and Mary, when we came onto the beach. My mother saw us first and gasped just as I had done on seeing my reflection in the mirror. "My gosh, girl, you are very pretty. When you get back home, the boys are going to go crazy over who gets to be your boyfriend, you know," she said with tears in her eyes. "My baby isn’t a little girl anymore, but a very pretty young lady." She gave me a big hug and had tears in her eyes. Then I heard another voice say, "don’t I get a hug too, young lady?" I looked and saw Dr. St. Clair. She had come to my party. I gave her the biggest hug I could manage. but not to damage my makeup.
"Well, Allison, dear," Dr. St. Clair said. "You look very much like a young woman, rather than a girl of nine. You’re very pretty."
"Thank you doctor. I had help. Thank you for coming to my party. I am very glad to see you." I said.
"Thank you Allison. I am very glad to see you too. I wouldn’t have missed this for the world. When the party is over, I want to talk to you and your mother for a bit. Would that be alright?"
"Yes, doctor, that would be fine." I answered.
The party was very nice and it said to the world, that I was now Chrissie’s sister and my mother’s daughter. I was nine years old, and I had my whole life to live as a girl. We played games of all kinds, including a guessing game. The object of the game was to guess the real identity of the person they were talking about. If they guessed the true identity of the person, that person had to say who she really was. Then it came my turn to be guessed at. This time I was petrified. They were going to guess my "true" identity?
"Alright," said Betty, "We have a person here at camp, who thinks she does not have to tell us who she really is, or was, before coming to this camp. Now, she is a new girl, and a very good sport. She swims well, and does needlecraft, but is kind of nervous in being found out. Can anyone guess who she is?"
Some of the girls guessed wrong, and some of them said it was Betty and everyone laughed. It was Dee who said my name.
"I know, Ms. Betty, it is Allison, right?"
"Very good, Dee. Yes, it is Allison. Allison, will you please tell us about yourself? Where you come from, and how you came to be here at camp."
I told everyone that I come from a small town in the Midwest. That Chrissie and I lived only a few houses apart, and how we became sisters (I left out the part that I was a boy). I told them how we played games and went shopping and told each other our innermost secrets and how Chrissie’s mother had sent me to camp with Chrissie as a reward for being Chrissie’s friend and sister. I said thank you for listening and sat down.
"Chrissie," Betty said. "Do you have anything to add to what Allison just said?"
"Oh, yes! If it wasn’t for the fact that Allison became my sister, I was going to kill myself because I couldn’t stand to be alone anymore. Then I met Allison, and she said she would be my friend. Oh, it so wonderful having a sister, even if she is an adopted sister. I just want to say thank you, Allison, for being there, when I really needed someone to confide in and play games with."
"Thank you, Chrissie. Girls, not only did Allison not mention this when she said who she was, because she is actually a modest young lady and doesn't toot her own horn, if you know what I mean. But, because Allison has adopted you as her sister, Chrissie, and an immense tragedy has been avoided because of the unselfishness of one person, Allison and you will have a free summer at camp next year. We will still hold the craft contest as scheduled, but this deserves something extra special too. Allison, you are indeed a unselfish young lady, and we are very proud to have you at our camp." After Betty had finished, everybody stood and clapped. I cried, and everybody said it was alright to cry.
Then Betty clapped her hands together and said. "Alright girls, it is time for cake and ice cream and to sing happy birthday to Allison. She is nine years old today."
We all gathered around the three picnic tables that had been set up for that purpose and I had to be in the middle because I was the "guest?" of honor. I felt embarassed by all the attention. Several girls came to me and wished me a happy birthday and hoped they would see me at camp next year.
Then doctor St. Clair said she wanted to talk to me and my mother. We followed her to a picnic table and then Dr. St. Clair said.
"Allison, your mother and I had talked this over an we want to see what you think. Do you know what testes are, Dear?"
"No, doctor," I replied.
"Well," she said, "They are the things between your legs in that little sac. As you get older, they will make you look more masculine as you age. They produce a hormone called testosterone. Now, you have already said that you want to be a real girl, right."
Oh! Yes doctor," I answered.
"Then young lady, if we were to remove those, then you wouldn't change that much as you got older, and with the help of female hormones, your body would take on a very girlish appearance. Now, your mother wanted to know what you thought about that."
"I want everything done that can make me be as much a real girl as I can be." I had said.
"That's my girl. When you get home, we will discuss this further. Tell me something. I know I had asked you this before, but is it really your wish to grow up to be a woman?"
"Oh! Yes! I would do almost anything to live my life as a girl, forever."
"Alright. Then it is settled. We were sure that is what you would say, but I had to absolutely positive, because if you had changed your mind, I would do nothing."
"Doctor," I said. "I will be glad to live forever as a girl."
They both smiled at me, and then said it was time for them to leave. My mother gave me a kiss and a hug and said she had to go. Doctor St. Clair gave me a kiss on the cheek and big hug. I waved to them as the walked to parking area. When they were out of sight, I went back to my cabin.
When I entered the cabin, I saw Chrissie was already there but no one else. I told her what Dr. St. Clair had said, because we told each other everything. She put a disgusted look on her face and the she said.
"Ewwwwww, I wouldn't want those things on me either." Then we both giggled. Then the other girls came into the cabin and when they saw me, they thanked me for a very nice party. I told them they were welcome, and that this was a very special party that my mother had arranged.
The next week the craft contest was held, and I got a pink ribbon for third place, Donna and Dee got a purple ribbon for second place and another girl from another cabin got a shiny gold ribbon for first place, and her free summer at camp next year. But, Chrissie and I get to come back too, because I helped Chrissie out of committing suicide.
